The Continuum is a research framework, not a product catalogue. That distinction matters.

When we publish Continuum material we try to label each piece according to its maturity:

- Production — systems we operate or support for customers today.
- Production-adjacent — patterns drawn from real work that are being productised.
- Prototype — working code or environments used for learning.
- Simulation — models used to explore behaviour under controlled conditions.
- Research / Hypothesis — ideas under investigation that may or may not become systems.

This labelling discipline protects readers and protects us. It prevents speculative work from being mistaken for commercial capability.
